Supportive footwear with an effective grip, but preferably walking boots, are required, as are a packed lunch, a drink, sun cream, hat and spare warm and waterproof clothing. A walking stick may aid your balance.

Sirhowy Valley Circular
A six mile moderate walk. Meet Wickes Car Park NP20 5GN 09:30 or Rhiwderin Commumity Centre NP10 8RX 10.00. The Community Centre in Rhiwderin is where we held our last AGM.
PLEASE NOTE TO PARK CARS IN THE AREA BY THE RECYCLING BINS.
The walk was originally 8 miles but unfortunately because of issues with falling rocks/stones one of the paths appears to be permanently closed. I did look at an alternative route on this walk and it would have meant crossing a small stream, but the stream is high for crossing at the moment.
As a result of the above issues it will be an earlier end to the walk, however there will be the option to have a drink at the Rhiwderin Inn after

9.5 Mile strenuous walk Gwyne Fawr Twyn Talycefn Loop
A walk up through the wood up to the mountain ridge, walk along the ridge towards the reservoir. Total ascent 1,200 ft. Maximum altitude 2,300 ft.
